Now this season has taken another crew member from the time bandit..but I will continue to pray for them all, still can't get over the loss of Phil last year, if I didn't know better, I would think I was a member of the family for how hard his passing hit.

I have watched DC from the first episode and so have watched Jake and Josh evolve from the boys they each were coming onto the CM to the men they each are today. Phil was my favorite captain and I was so shocked when I heard of his passing. I am very happy to know that Josh is working so hard to keep his dad's dream alive and continue on the CM. I also hope that Jake is able to continue a clesn and sober life. My thoughts and prayers are with them always.

A big cheer goes out to two of the top veterans on the Bering Sea. I read an update last night on a Cornelia Marie site that Captain Phil is doing a whole lot better and is taking the medications that the Dr's gave him. Goes to show that these 2 Captains are the best of the best!!!!!!

i just learned today that Capt Phil Passed away. i'm a huge fan of the show but i started working nites 2 yrs ago and haven't been able to watch alot of the shows. it feels like a member of my own family has passed. the show just won't be the same without him. i downloaded quite a few of his tribute videos today. it made me cry to watch them. Capt. Phil is going to be sadly missed!!!

He was my favorite Captain and I will always miss him on the show. It's hard to believe that someone that full of life is gone. Next week's episode is where he had his stroke, so if you watch...be prepared. Too sad. :-(

When I got the news that Phil had passed away, it felt like everything I knew was ripped out of me. I emailed Josh and Jake so when they read it is up to then. But I don't think I can watch this season. Just the thought of what happens is gut wrenching to me. But alas, he's in a better place.

I want to tell Jake, Josh and the rest of the family how sorry I am for their loss. I'm praying for you everyday and I know you'll make it through this trial because your dad gave you boys some strong genes. He'd expect nothing less. However, it hurts so bad for those of us who (through the show) considered him a dear friend I can't imagine your hearts cry, Jake & Josh. He was a good man. A kind man. A strong man. He loved his children and that was very evident. Remember to thank God for the last years that you all got to be together, daily, and treasure the moments, the memories and the lessons he taught. Again, I'll miss him so much but I know he's in the arms of the Savior with no pain, never again. He's waiting on the rest of ya'll. Thank the Lord that you had such an awesome human being as your father and friend. Phil was one of a kind and we're all the better for having "known" him. God Bless the Harris family and Deadliest Catch family & crews.

"my heart goes out to the boys and the crew.so now lets just leave smokers alone we get beat up for everything that wrong in this world. Capt Phil had a stroke now if your watching the show
you know how many hours they set those chairs. and this builds blood clots and this means stroke.A reporter died a few years ago in a tank( did not smoke )" We all miss him and many of us have lost family members accordingly. Captain Phil was regular guy who was lucky to do what he wanted to do. Nicotine is so addictive. Phil was alot of fun to watch and his handling of his kids was deft, exasperated, and proud all at the same time which made it all the more entertaining. I hope he was not in pain and passed peacefully. Sometimes death is a welcome friend. Many men like Phil just want to live their own life their own way and who's to say that they are wrong. I feel condemned to a long and tortured life. I would love to have the freedom that Phil had. And he was cute to boot.

My family and I are so deeply sorry to here the passing of your father. Our deepest sorrows and broken hearts that we won't see Phil driving the cornelia marie , may his spirit be at the wheel house.
