Well for starters welcome back Crabby. Havent seen you in awhile. Hope all is well...The men on these boats have to trust and respect one another for their lives are in each others hands if you think about it..I have seen that no matter how much one doesnt like the other they still have each others backs while on deck. This is what I would like to say about This Capt.Keith Colburn of the Wizard for 1- he has shown me no kind of respect as in sending me a letter for my book ,along with 3-other Capts.as well.2-I do know that if he still is apart of the Board of the Seattle Fishermen's Memorial up in Seattle,Washington,the last I heard he hasn't been to a meeting in quiet a while,So what true excuse does he have besides his Family to attend these important meeting.3-He said to me on the Larry King's Show back in June 2010 that if I needed any kind of help with anythinghewould be glad to help,along with the rest of the Captains Agreed with him as well,that was Andy & Johnathan Hillstrand,& Sig Hansen as well,but have they HELL,BUT,HELL NO,for they just said that to make themselves look good on the show & CNN.Yes!! I had finally told My Dear 2ND.Best Freind Captain.Phil Harris'l{ Little Secret Of Ours Last April} it was a 1 yr.& 2mons. when I did this I truly believe this PISSED-OFF ALL OF THEM.for I was going to be the COOK PERMANENTLY!! aboard Cornelia Marie.So there all of you have it.None of them knew about me because Phil was trying to turn his life around for the better & to not stay in his old ways as of him letting all of them know about all the Juicy Gossip that he always told them while they were all together about him being with other women,as he always considered me a very great LADY AS HIS BEST FREIND for the very first time in his entire life.He never felt this way before & he was really starting to LOVE IT just as much for the first time in his life ever.So,there all of you have it about Capt. I've live in the town as a few of the capt's and deckhands and have been surprised by how different they are in person. I met keith at a local bar and he was very kind and gracious. Phil very openly hated fans and was terribly rude to them. If someone said hello he told them to F-off. It was sad and you could see how embarassed and hurt people were. Phil had the same problem his son jake battles among his obvious health problems. I have definatly learned not to believe what you see on tv.

I like to watch Wild Bill. He can be funny sometimes. I think he has really mellowed out from what I understand. Hence the name. lol I really love his hair, it is gorgeous. Of course I have always liked men with long hair. Wish Capt Sig would grow his out- all though he looks good just like it is. sigh ;>)

Just watched the episode of when Capt. Phill Harris passed away... It's not the first time nor will it be the last time that I will ever see it, however I felt the need to say a few words about it...I have up most respect for the man as much as I have for my own father..I watched my dad work and provide for our family of 6 as well as my mother did....We may not of had alot but we NEVER went with out....After seeing Capt. Phill in that hospital bed it broke my heart to see a man of such strength fight with all he had left and still end up losing....Thank GOD my dad is still here and if anything were to ever happen to him I don't know what I would do.....So on this Blessed Easter Sunday of 2012 may God Bless you ALL......And Love your family well....

I've always even back in the cay as Cherished this ever Beautiful place as Alaska.It has some of the most prolific Beautiful views & you will always feel like that you have made it to the top of the World.Along,with ever so Crystal like snow caps& that includes the Infamous Bering Sea form the Deadliest Catch ,Alaskan State Troopers,among afew more shows that have been made in this Awesome!! Place as well.There is one thing about this place you only maybe have about 2 to 3 months of no snow if the people up there are Lucky,but these kind of people are quiet nothing to them for they have had several Generations with to whom have did,Crabbing,fishing,& just plain having to make their living in such of a very harsh enviroment as well.God Bless Everyone of you up in another one of my most top 5 places to hopefully get to see before it is my time to go on this God's Green Earth.Always,Lori H-Smith 19th. This goes out to all of the Fleet with to whom is still out in the Bering Sea trying to get al of their Crab Pots in to meet their Quota.I do know it is really one of the worst
Seasons that they have yet.I see it as on of the Storms Of The Century as well.All those blocks of Ice out there in the sea remines me of a full blown Ice Bergs.My Prayers are with all of them in the Fleet,That includings my boat Cornelia Marie,Along with Time Bandit,Northwestern,Wizard,Kodiak,Sea Brooke&Ramblin'Rose.I truly do feel for all of you that are still out there on this Easter Sunday Holiday.I do know that all of you would've had your Quotas in & already back home with your very Dear Families.H appy Easter to all of you & may God Bless all of you & Your Families.Truly Always,Catch61pl@Verizon.Net 8th.April 2012 OXOXOXOXOXO

Hello to all.. Before the season begins I'd like to find out which Boat, Captain and or crew that you favor??? If I had to only pick one it would have to be the Time Bandit with Capt. Jonathan & Capt. Andy..They just seem to always have fun, no matter what the conditions are..And they know how to treat their crew!!! I'd really like to see the Harris boys return and I also like Capt. Sig of the Northwestern, as well as Jake Anderson..As for the Wizard and it's Capt......Not much to say there...Well I'd love to hear everyones feed back.....God Bless

How come everytime a pot comes up to the rail, it has to be spun 180-degrees around the vertical before being lifted over the rail and locked down on the launcher?
It just seems like the bridle could be changed so that the pot came up "right side in". I'm sure there's a reason, but darned if I can figure it out.

Good question but I am not sure it could be done differently or they would have figured it out by now. No matter what, it still is pulled up by only one line and that mega heavy pot is just hanging on the end. Don't see how they could keep it from turning.
