Hey Capt. Phil don't give up, in Jan. I had 5 blood clots 1 in my shin ; 1 in my thigh; 2 PE in my right lung and 1 PE in my left lung. The one in my left long perm. damaged the lower left lobe. All due to my prior military service. I am a Mother of 4 and this all happened in Jam. 08; I am 43 and I am still here!!! I too was told I should not be alive and they did not expect me to live. Here I still am. You need to be strong and know that surviving the clot through your heart is the worst of the PE. Are you on warifin (coumidon) for the clots? I have spent my recovery watching Deadlies Catch and my entire family was stunned when you were diagnosed with the same problem as me. I would love to chat with you. Maybe you have meant my daughter, she was stationed on the US Mellon (with the coast guard) which patrolled the bering sea. She always called us from Dutch Harbor during her crab fishing duties.
