SYNOPSIS: The Time Bandit finally finds the ice pack and discovers that it's much closer to their gear than expected. The Rollo fishes through gnarly weather close to the ice pack, and the entire crew of the Maverick has to work through a ship-wide flu epidemic as they pull a long string of 100 pots. The crew of the Cornelia Marie is having a tough time finding opilio crab, and they continue catching tons of tanner. That doesn't keep greenhorn Jake Harris from being in high spirits when he throws the hook for the first time. Sig and the Northwestern crew finish up their cod season, and deck boss Edgar Hansen becomes a new father.

  • On the northwestern, Edgar learns that his son was born just before heading out for the crab season fresh off of cod fishing.

  • The Time Bandit decides to find out where the ice pack is and they discover it is much closer than they had thought. Their gear is in danger of being covered as it is only 16 miles away.

  • The Maverick starts pulling up some of the biggest pots of the season when Captain Rick Quashnick sets his pots on the sandbar.

  • The Northwestern finally sets out for the crab grounds.

  • On the Northwestern, longtime crew member, Alan Evich, leaves after the cod season as he no longer wants to risk his life crab fishing.

  • The Maverick crew including her Captain come down with the flu.

  • The Northwestern ends their cod season with 770,000 lbs. which will net the boat $330,000 which is $14,000 per deckhand.

  • While most of the fleet is scaring by, Captain Rick Quashnick of the Maverick has found a small sandbar that is dense with crab.

  • On the Maverick, Deckhand Justin Gifford is struck on the back by a 50 lb. chunk of ice that was loosened by the sun and fell about 30 feet from the rigging.
