I was totally there and it was AWESOME! :D Everyone involved did an amazing job and I can't wait to see what next year brings!

I flew in from FL to attend and am so glad I did, it was awesome! To walk on the decks of the Northwestern and the Wizard was an amazing experience! The Q&A with the captains and production staff was funny and informative. It was interesting to learn how the camermen got some of the amazing shots we see on the show. Overall, I had a blast and can't wait until the next one!

Houston one way, Dallas the other. Coincidence? Do you find this valuable? |

I'm a geek, so I've been to plenty of comic book and scifi cons, but nothing like this.Yeah, it was a long day, my flight left FL at 5:41 am and I got to Seattle by 11 am Saturday, so I was a little late, but it was still great. The atmosphere was electric, everyone was just so happy and so excited to be there! I came alone, but always found someone to talk to and to take pictures of me and the captains/crew. Just a real friendly and cool group of people! Do you find this valuable? |

Enjoyed the captains discussion the most.... it was great to just hear the guys BSing, though I thought they were probably still a little more reserved than they could have been since it was a Discovery Channel event. Got Cap'n Andy's autograph... I had read the Time Bandit book so I asked him about his ranch (since he seemed torn between that and fishing in his book). Turns out he's selling it and moving to Vegas! Thought that was funny.

Lots of cool things/shops/sites/culture like NYC, but with a laid back attitude of a West Coast city like LA. Like an idiot, I got off the bus on the wrong end of downtown and ended up walking from 5th & Jackson to the Queen Anne neighborhood, and the city is really beautiful. Amazing architecture plus a great view out over the bay . . . Hmm, starting to sound like an ad, but it's true. I want to move out there (west coast = tech geek central with Wetpaint, Facebook, Nintendo and Google all based out there)!! :D Oh, and it doesn't hurt having gorgeous fishermen all over the place. *LoL!!* Do you find this valuable? |

Yes, I was at CatchCon. It was an awesome experience. Being there in the audience to watch the question and answer session with the captains. I was able to meet most of the crew from the Northwestern, Lynn and Lenny of the Wizard, Russell Newberry, and Captain Johnathan. I had my picture taken with Captain John and Russ. What great guys. The Coast Guard demonstrated a water rescue for us. It was so cool.

I'm so sorry I missed it, but I think I remember you from last year at the DC greatest fan party in Philly. You look so familiar and the pic of you with the homemade tat. Johnathan drew one on my arm last year, luckily I have a pic, but I did trace over it a few times to keep it longer. I loved meeting Johnathan, Andy and Sig. Ah, memories, it was a real good time, I remember not wanting to leave! Fla. girl you are a true fan! I was lucky I live just outside Philly. Here's to the truest reality show on the air. Keep it coming!!!

That was such a great time, all the captains were so cool and down to earth. I loved Philly too, I had never been there before, so it was nice to explore the city a little bit too. I love the show, and was lucky to win those tickets. And since I had met three of the captains, I really wanted to meet the rest, espcially Capt. Phil. When I saw the CatchCon event, I couldn't resist! Do you find this valuable? |

It sounds like you had a great time, it's great you got to meet the rest. Now we know why Phil wasn't in Philly, I'm glad he's feeling better. It wasn't the same w/o him. I think we're all lucky, and as Johnathan would say "I'd rather be lucky than good-Anyday" So may you're luck follow you and the guys. See you again @ the next party, if my luck keeps up! Ha!
