Russell Newberry has his name on a bottle of wine

We met Russell at a wine festival at Allaire State Park in NJ... Valenzano Winery sells Dangerous Red and Russell's New Berry brands of wine, with a portion of the proceeds going to Operation Troop Aid. He's a nice guy, really just amazed by the popularity of the show and the people on it. Good wine, too. Do a search for Russell Newberry wine to see where he's appearing next.

I just love him!!!!"He definitely is worth meeting ,getting his hugs and his wine is great tasting. Mull the red for wintertime is a suggestion. Yes it supports our troops while they are overseas. Im so glad he got to crab for Red King too . Best wishes in sales on East Coast and hope to get distributing thruout our land. The Russell NewBerry is tart and its made from blueberries and 2 types of cranberries. He is one of the kindest hardest working guys to put on your meet list. I met Russell Newberry in Ledgewood NJ. What a sweet guy. I am hoping that he gets back on a boat permanently. For those of us who didn’t know and thought that it was a staged firing from the Time Bandit, it wasn’t. He was just as surprised as the rest of us were. I find it shameful that they, his friends since childhood, fired him that way.

I think alot was left out in the editing of that show. I think Andy had alot more to do with it then was shown. It is a business and they did what they thought thy should do. It could have been handled a lot better than it was. Russell seems to have moved on andI am so proud of what he is doing. Wish him luck in what ever he does. "The Kodiak . is the boat. Keith is very hard to work for. He says one thing and does another Could Russ not cut it? Don't know Remeber he comes from the TB and they are a much smaller boat. Plus he not as young as he likes to think he his. I love Russell But still a huge fan of TB. I don't think John should have puh Keith. I think if any of us steps into someone else's personal space and raises our voice to the level of screaming - we might just expect to be shoved backwards. John didn't hit Keith with a closed fist or anything like that. He just pushed him backwards. Keith could have probably yelled from where he was & been okay. It looked like it was the space thing that triggered the reaction. But it's not unusual for guys in the maritime business to mix it up on shore. Not unusual at all.

And yeah - Russell looks like he's a super-nice guy. Actually (and this probably sounds strange) but I think Russ would have made a heck of a good teacher. I've enjoyed hearing him explain the different things about crab fishing. He's articulate, and I think he'd be dynamite in a classroom.
