He will be sadly missed by all
here in the uk we love the show and phil harris i would say was the best captain of all the show will not be the same without him

all my thoughts go out to the boys and the rest of the crew

t s a very sad day today, knowing that capt Phil has passed away. My thought goes espesially to Jake and Josh for their loss, and to family, friends and the crew at Cornelia Marie. He will be dearly missed by all of us who enjoyed him here i DC wiki. It was an honour to become his friend . May you rest in peace..Love from Norway 7  out of 7 found this valuable. Do you?

A true American at it best! hard worker, family man and a wonderfull father! May god be with you and you will be mist by all the people who have come to know and love you for what you are. Our Thoughts go out to Capt. Phil's family . Always loved hes down to earth ways... It is very sad and the show will not be the same. Kids, keep strong and carry out your dads tradition because he will always be in the wheel house to guide you! 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

capt phil you will sadly missed i wished you have stayed retired like you were supposed to but you were an ole salty dawg it was in your blood, joshamd jake remember the good times and bad you will always have your memories i lost my dad 20 yrs ago i remeber it like yesterday i was young to but you can to go back to those pkus you have video tape well god bless keep up the good work Do you find this valuable?

My deepest, heartfelt sympathies to Jake, Josh, Phil's family and fishing family.
So young but seems he lived life to the fullest. He will be missed.
Thanks for the ride, Phil.
May his family and friends find comfort in the love and memories they all share.

Phil was my favorite captain. I'm very sad to hear that he has passed and that the world has lost such a courageous man.
My thoughts go out to Phil's family and friends. I hope all of them can find the strength they will need to get through this devastating loss.

Phil Harris' passing has left so many people sadened...I don't think anyone ever thought that he wouldn't pull through this. His spirit will always be on the Bering Sea looking for "crab farts" and guiding his fellow captains to the best spot. I will raise a glass to Capt. Phil, thanking him for the years of laughter he gave to so many. He will missed by so many.....and we will never forget...... 4  out of 4 found this valuable. Do you?

I just now heard the news of the passing of my hero Capt Phil Harris! I am stunned to say the least having survived an earlier bout with a pulmonary embolism like a trooper and to be stricken so suddenly now. My heart and prayers go out to the Harris family, the crews of the fleet and especially Josh and Jake. God Bless you all and my most deepest and sincere condolences. I will miss him as will so many who have come to love, admire, and respect this great man. 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

To Jake, Josh, family and friends, and the other DC Capt.: My deepest sympathies to you all. I lost my dad recently so I do know the heartbreak you are feeling and I too will miss the honesty, humor and love for life that Captain Phil brought to everything he did. You are all in my prayers. Do you find this valuable?

My family sends condolences to the Harris family and his crew . Capt. Phil will be sorely missed by all. A good hearted, salty man of the sea, to be sure. A side note to Jake and Josh, as hard as it is now, always remember: your father will always be with you in spirit and will be looking out for you, especially while out to sea. I was so sad to hear of Capt. Phil's passing. He was one of my favorites on the show. You could truly feel the love he had for his sons and for his passion of fishing. He made me laugh all the time with his great sense of humor. Josh and Jake, rest better in knowing how much your Dad loved you and know that he will always watch over you both. His sons were his treasures. It is truly a sad day for us, his fans also. We will truly miss him. Condolences to the crew of the Cornelia Maria also. 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

I have no fancy words to say or a clever poem. Phil seemed to be a great, courageous man, and more importantly a good father. My blessings go out to his wife and kids. They have definitely lost someone special and need all the support that they can get in this time of mourning. :-( 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

Although I never had the chance to meet capt Phil in person..but was able to ask a question to him..I feel as though I knew him. What a wonderful man and wonderful father he was. Josh and Jake I am truly sorry for your great loss... God called him home way to soon but rememeber he will still be on the boat with his family. What a very sad day for his fans and I will keep his family in my prayers. Capt Phil you will sure be missed!!!! I just heard about Captain Phil. I did not know him personally, but felt as though I did. After hearing of his death, I started thinking about things he said and did to teach his sons, crew and all the DC fans the art of crab fishing. He had to teach us one more thing before he left this earth...crab farts! I for one will never forget that lesson. In future, should I be out on the seas, I will look for the little bubbles and remember the lessons Phil taught all of us.
